           Welcome to Call to Decision

I. Might President Obama appoint an openly lesbian woman to replace David Souter on the Supreme Court?

The new President has set a high premium on diversity within his Administration and he has already appointed several dozen gay people to courts already!

NEWS BRIEF: "Groups push for first gay Supreme Court justice", Politico News, May 5, 2009

"President Barack Obama is looking to advance diversity with his pick to replace retiring U.S. Supreme Court Justice David Souter — and early speculation has focused on whether he'll pick a woman, or perhaps the first Hispanic justice. But gay rights groups — disappointed that Obama didn't pick an openly gay man or woman for his Cabinet — are pushing him to put the first openly gay justice on the Supreme Court. Within hours of word of Souter's departure, the Gay and Lesbian Victory Fund was hailing the candidacy of a First Amendment scholar and former dean of Stanford Law School, Kathleen Sullivan. 'Out lesbian a contender for Supreme Court', one of the group's web sites declared."

"Another Stanford law professor on the 'frequently mentioned' lists, Pam Karlan, has been open about being a lesbian, colleagues and former students say. In response to an e-mail from POLITICO, Karlan expressed no reticence about discussing her sexual orientation..."
President Obama has already created more changes in more areas in only 100+ days in office than any other President. During these first 100 days, the new President has already demonstrated his support of the gay/lesbian agenda. For example, one of the comedians at the White House Correspondents Ball last week who called Rush Limbaugh an incompetent terrorist and wished him dead was Wanda Sykes, an openly lesbian entertainer. At the White House Easter Egg Hunt, the President sent invitations out to gay and lesbian families, asking them to bring their kids.
But, is it likely that Obama could actually appoint a lesbian or gay Supreme Court Justice?
"In all, Obama has made about three dozen appointments of openly gay or lesbian people below the Cabinet level, according to Dison, including Nancy Sutley, head of the White House Council on Environmental Quality, and John Berry, director of the Office of Personnel Management."
Therefore, President Obama obviously has no inner compunction against appointing a gay or lesbian Supreme Court Justice. Whether he will now appoint one now depends upon whether he and his handlers believe that now is the time to boost the entire Gay/Lesbian/Transgender community. This current time is most definitely the time where official government officials will welcome the new Sodom with open arms.
