spewing out flares and coronal mass ejections of record-smashing levels . . .
blasting electric power grids, worldwide, and destroying all types of electronic
equipment, upon which civilization depends. Most catastrophic, there will
soon be a scorching decimation of all forms of life on the surface of Earth.
Only those sheltered in deep underground cities will escape this global scorching.
