I don't know if you are aware of this or not but if not I thought you might just be interested in it.

H&K manufactures firearms now with an RFID chip installed in the frame of some guns.  This was mentioned by a caller on the radio program Gun Talk last weekend.  It was during the second hour of the program starting at 22:57 and ending at 29:07.  I think the host of the program (Tom Gresham) had the right idea about it.  You might make a good guest on his program or him on yours discussing this.
