What do you mean 'Losing our Rights? Freedom of Speech?' You
mean lost not losing.
Already gone:
RIP
First Amendment: Freedom of religion, speech, assembly
and the press.
Fourth Amendment: Freedom from unreasonable searches and
seizures, and no
warrants shall issue without probable cause.
Fifth Amendment: No person to be deprived of life, liberty or
property without due process.
Sixth Amendment: Right to speedy public trial by an impartial
jury, right to be informed of the facts of the accusation, right to
confront witnesses and have the assistance of counsel.
Eighth Amendment: No excessive bail or cruel and unusual
punishment shall be imposed.
Fourteenth Amendment: All persons (citizens and non-citizens)
within the US are entitled to due process and the equal protection of
the laws. Article 1, Section 9, Clause 2: The Suspension Clause of
Habeas Corpus (a suspect’s right to challenge his/her detention in
court).
All killed at a young age by the following:
- USA PATRIOT ACT
Legislation signed into law 2001, reauthorized in 2006
- EXECUTIVE ORDER 13438
Issued July 2007 Entitled 'Blocking Property of Certain
Persons Who Threaten Stabilization Efforts in Iraq' this Executive
Order provides the President, in association with the Secretary of
the Treasury and Secretary of Defense the authority to confiscate
the assets of 'certain persons' who oppose the US led war in Iraq,
the US led economic reconstruction and political reformation in Iraq
and/or the US government sanctioned humanitarian assistance to the
Iraqi people.
- NATIONAL SECURITY AND HOMELAND SECURITY PRESIDENTIAL DIRECTIVE
(NSPD 1/HSPD 20)
A form of Executive Order issued May 2007
Allows the sitting president to declare a 'national emergency' for
any reason, including a terrorist attack, without Congressional
approval. NSPD 51 would result in the suspension of the Legislature
and the militarization of justice and law enforcement in America.
NSPD 51 supersedes the National Emergency Act, eliminating
Congressional oversight.
- MILITARY COMMISSIONS ACT
Legislation signed into law September 2006
- Allows the suspension of Habeas Corpus (a suspect’s right to
challenge his detention in court) for non-citizens, including
legal permanent residents.
- Allows officials to detain anyone, including US citizens, by
declaring them enemy combatants.
- Allows the use of evidence obtained by coercion (torture).
- Gives the President authority to determine what constitutes
torture.
- Authorizes retroactive immunity for US military and
intelligence officials as well as higher officials who
authorized or ordered illegal acts of torture and abuse.
- Also violates the Geneva Conventions.
- And many more the whole list would be too long.

This type of thing and worse is going on all over America these
days.
I'm not surprised. Just watch and see if the Mayor and
Councilwoman Jill Patton don't get re-elected, and the majority just
keeps on being oblivious, and no one wants to stand up for anything.
We are too busy being ignorant of everything except who's winning on
'dancing with the stars' or 'American Idol' or 'Survivor' or what ever
it is this evening.
'If a
nation expects to be ignorant and free,
in a state of civilization,
it expects what never was and never will be.'
- Thomas Jefferson
Welcome to a Brave

Independence Day. Boy it sure is hot there, must be Fahrenheit

Farm.

Dear Friends,
Click on the link below. This article was on the front page of
the Hickory paper this morning.
It is very clear what course the city and the Hickory Police
Department are taking:

This is a bit discouraging, but I will let my record and
reputation
in hundreds of United States' cities and towns and 19 foreign
countries (i.e. doing the same thing we were doing in Hickory
last Friday night) speak to the charges that we were harassing
people and disturbing the peace.
This is not the way we do things, we follow the exhortation
found in II Timothy 2:25-26, and nowhere else in America
have we had problems with the police that even come close
to this. Besides, Matthew and I were not charged with
disorderly conduct; we were charged with trespassing.
Clearly, this is an attack against the Gospel and is rooted
in disdain for the biblical message of Jesus Christ. For
this
reason, and this reason alone, we were discriminated against.
My friend, Kent, was told several times by the police that
night
(i.e. before I approached with the video camera) that we could
stay there and talk to whoever we desired, but you cannot
distribute Gospel tracts!
As for the appeal for us to sit down and talk with city
officials
to reach a compromise: This is not an option as long as we
are facing criminal charges. Such would be foolish considering
that anything I say in such a sit-down can and will be twisted
and used against us in a court of law. We are simply following
our attorney's advice. This has nothing to do with an
unwillingness to talk. Once the criminal charges are dropped,
I am happy to talk to anyone, for I see such as an opportunity
to share the Gospel.
This is a sad day, especially considering it is July 4th.
I have to
agree with Thomas Jefferson: 'I fear for my country when I
reflect that God is just, and His justice does not sleep
forever.'
Again, please continue to flood the Police Department, the
Jaycees,
the Mayor's Office with your comments and concerns. Also
consider
responding to the Hickory Daily Record. You can reply to the
story

PLEASE show up tonight at Union Square in Downtown Hickory
at 7:30pm as a peaceful statement against these discriminatory
atrocities. If Christians do not speak out now, then
next time,
it will be you or your children. Next time, it will be
your
freedom to homeschool. Next time, it will be your freedom
to preach certain texts of the Bible that make bold statements
about what this society deems politically incorrect. Next
time,
it will be your freedom to gather as believers for worship and
fellowship. Next time, it will be your freedom to possess the
Scriptures. The pure church in America is asleep in the light.
It's time to wake up.
ONLY IF CHRISTIANS SHOW UP IN DROVES WITH A
READINESS TO SHARE THEIR FAITH WILL THIS STATEMENT
CARRY ANY WEIGHT! Please pass this on to as many
Christians as possible in the Catawba County area! Regardless
of what happens, I will be there with Bishnu and Kent
(Matthew and Paul are out of town). The three of us will
either be there alone or with many of you. Notwithstanding,
I am ready to go to jail for my faith this night. Pray
for us.
Many of you live far away. Please commit to praying
specifically about this at 7:30 pm Eastern Standard Time.
The will of the Lord be done. 'We ought to obey God rather
than men' (Acts 5:29).
Again, sincere thanks for all your prayers, support, and
emails/phone calls to the city officials. Claims that we were
harassing people and causing a public disturbance are to
be expected.
Jesus said this:
'Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you,
and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my
sake.
Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in
heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were
before you' (Matthew 5:11-12).
Keep sounding the alarm! This kind of stuff makes me want to
permanently move to Nepal. Yeah, the Maoists Communists
have an overwhelming majority in the government body there,
but there we have much more freedom to share the Gospel of
Jesus Christ than in my own hometown.
Peace be with you,
Jesse Boyd
