           Welcome to Call to Decision

 Subject: PROFILES IN COLONIAL COURAGE
 To: trob@tfn.net

as cited in the book Paul Reveres Ride by David Fischer & a recommended read for US all.Go & do likewise & pass it on

 *  A Salem man named Joseph Whicher, the foreman of a distillery rose up before the British troops marching enroute to Lexington & Concord & defiantly tore open his shirt  daring the troops to attack. An infuriated British soldier lunged forward & pricked the Americans naked chest with his bayonet.

 * A young Salem woman named Sarah Tarrant screamed at the redcoats"go home & tell your master he has sent you on a fools errand & has broken the peace of our Sabbath".She added contemptuously" do you think we were born in the woods to be frightened by owls?" A frustrated Regular(redcoat)raised his firelock & took aim at her head.Sarah Tarrant said defiantly "Fire if you have the courage but I doubt it."

 * British major Mitchell & his men continued to patrol the road to Concord. They passed the farmhouse of Josiah Nelson who heard hoofbeats in the night & came half-dressed out of his house to find out what was happening.Mistaking the British officers for countrymen
in the dark Nelson came up to them & said"have you heard anything about when the Regulars are coming out?"Nelson startled the British officers. One of them perhaps Major Mitchell himself swung his sword & slashed the American across the head & took him prisoner.Bleeding profusely from his scalp,Nelson was released & warned that his house would be burned if he told anyone what had happened. He went back to his home &  his wife bandaged his bloody head. Then Josiah Nelson collected his weapons, saddled his horse & rode off to warn his neighbors. The news began to spread across the countryside.

 * see attached file for account of paul revere encounter with redcoats.

The colonists ran many loyalists/Tories out of town by force, burned houses
of some others & even coerced some New England sheriffs(under threat of death)not to enforce certain edicts of King George yet We the Sheeple
dare not follow their example/lead today much to our discredit & shame.
Even British General Gage had to leave Boston for NY for his own safety.
So much for courage of conviction Id venture to say so sorely lacking now.
Those who are a part of or continue to support the status quo/system in DC
are modern day Tories & should be treated accordingly as in above examples
Cease & desist funding or voting for such spiritual wickedness in high places now or submitting to them whatever the cost or consequences folks.

"The thing that separates the American Christian from every other person on earth is the fact that he would rather die on his feet, than live on his knees! -George Washington" Hardly the case anymore GW so sad to say.

Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
We the Sheeple have come a long way (down)folks.

America is great because she is good. If America ceases to be good, America will cease to be great." - how prophetic it has come to pass.
