Wake-up Herald
And
that, knowing the time, that now
it is high time to awake out of
sleep: for now is our salvation
nearer than when we believed. The
night is far spent, the day is at
hand: let us therefore cast off
the works of darkness, and let us
put on the armour of light. Let us
walk honestly, as in the day; not
in rioting and drunkenness, not in
chambering and wantonness, not in
strife and envying. But put ye on
the Lord Jesus Christ, and make
not provision for the flesh, to
fulfill the lusts thereof. Romans

Turtles,
eagle eggs and unborn babies
Unconscionable
Inequality
by
Robert McCurry
In
1973 the federal government passed
the Federal Endangered Species Act
of 1973 protecting Sea turtles
that are either endangered or
threatened.
In
1995, the Florida Legislature
passed the Marine Turtle
Protection Act (MTPA), giving DEP
the authority to enforce
regulations protecting the green,
leatherback, hawksbill, Kemp's
ridley, and loggerhead sea
turtles. DEP was instructed to
implement its responsibilities
under the United States Fish and
Wildlife Service (USFWS) recovery
plans for the five species of sea
turtles. The MTPA states that
"no person may take, possess,
disturb, mutilate, destroy, cause
to be destroyed, sell, offer for
sale, transfer, molest, or harass
any marine turtle or its nest or
eggs at any time."
"Take" is defined as an
act which kills or injures sea
turtles, including
"significant habitat
modification or degradation that
kills or injures marine turtles by
significantly impairing essential
behavioral patterns, such as
breeding, feeding, or
sheltering."
Florida
Beach signs: “Attention Beach
Users. Help protect endangered sea
turtles. Avoid disturbing nesting
females. Leave eggs, nests, and
hatchlings undisturbed….Sea
turtles are protected by county,
state, and federal law. Fines up
to $20,000.”
It
is unconscionable inequality for
government to protect sea turtles
and fine people thousands of
dollars for even daring to disturb
a baby sea turtle and at the same
time deny protection in the
killing of millions of preborn
babies via abortion.
Georgia
freshwater turtles to get
protection
Atlanta
Constitution, Wednesday, January
18, 2012
Georgia’s
19 species of freshwater turtles
face a variety of human-induced
ills. Thousands die each year from
being run over on highways while
crawling to nesting areas and many
perish when vital wetland habitats
are lost to development.
The
Georgia Board of Natural Resources
is expected on Jan. 25 to adopt
regulations to protect 13 of the
state’s freshwater turtle
species that have little or no
protection now. Six others already
are protected because they are
rare, endangered or threatened.
The
new regulations will, among other
things, set turtle harvest limits;
define what constitutes a
commercial turtle collection
enterprise; establish permit
requirements; set rules on
exporting, farming and selling
turtles; specify unlawful
activities regarding collection of
turtles; and set specifications
for turtle farms.
It
is unconscionable inequality for
government to protect fresh water
turtles and at the same time deny
protection in the killing of
millions of preborn babies via
abortion.
Bald
or golden eagle egg protection
Federal
law also provides that people can
actually go to prison for taking
(this includes pursuing, shooting,
shooting at, poisoning, wounding,
killing, capturing, trapping,
collecting, molesting or
disturbing) a bald or golden eagle
egg. Concerning the penalties, the
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
reports:
The
1972 amendments increased civil
penalties for violating provisions
of the Act to a maximum fine of
$5,000 or one year imprisonment
with $10,000 or not more than two
years in prison for a second
conviction. Felony convictions
carry a maximum fine of $250,000
or two years of imprisonment. The
fine doubles for an organization.
Please
note that these amendments to the
federal law protecting eagle eggs
were passed the year before Roe v.
Wade was decided and the Supreme
Court made it legal to kill all
unborn children. I’d really like
to know why an eagle egg is
treated the same as an adult eagle
(isn’t it only a “potential
eagle”?) when an unborn child is
treated like a non-human.
It
is unconscionable inequality for
government to protect ‘a bald or
golden eagle egg’ and fine
people thousands of dollars for
‘molesting or disturbing a bald
or golden eagle egg’ and at the
same time deny protection in the
killing of millions of preborn
babies via abortion.
It
is unconscionable inequality that
turtles and eagle eggs now get
more government protection to live
than the preborn infant.
With
the explicit support of
politicians, judges, bureaucrats
and millions from the American
electorate, modern day abortion on
demand is afforded legal
protection and government
sanction. And with few exceptions,
pastors and churches are passive
and silent and complicit in the
pro-death abortion industry.
Repent
or perish!
There is no other option!
Wake-up,
Pastors! Wake-up, Christians!
